Aberfan disaster remembered through survivors' eyes, 60 years on

• Today marks 60 years since the Aberfan disaster, one of Wales' darkest days. • At 09:15 on 21 October 1966, a coal tip above the village collapsed, sending black slurry down the mountainside into Pantglas Junior School and nearby homes on the last day before half term. • The landslide killed 144 people, including 116 children. • On the anniversary, survivors have been sharing their memories of the day that changed the mining community forever.
