What is happening with the Jackdaw and Rosebank gas and oil fields?

• The Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea has been cleared to start production after years of debate and legal challenges, while a decision on the Rosebank oil field off Shetland is still to come. • Industry bodies argue the sites would support jobs and strengthen the UK's energy security as overseas conflicts threaten supplies. • Environmental groups say further drilling would undermine efforts to cut carbon emissions, and argue a faster shift to green energy would protect both the climate and jobs.
