• The UK has said it will establish a national AI Biosecurity Lab to help strengthen its defences against emerging biological threats. • The government is committing £100m to what it describes as a world-first facility. • The Chancellor's plans to boost AI spending will also see an additional £120m committed to the UK's AI Security Institute.
