Second person charged in connection with shooting of police officer in Nottingham

• A second person has been charged in connection with the shooting of a police officer in Nottingham city centre on 18 October. • PC Lee Lane was shot in the foot after he approached two people acting suspiciously at a bus stop in Angel Row at 4.50am; he continues to be treated in hospital. • Jahmal Ruddock-Senior, 35, from Bulwell, is charged with assisting an offender and was due at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Monday; Aisha Zaman, 27, from Hyson Green, was earlier charged with firearm offences and remanded in custody.
