Asos returns to profit as cyber attack 'not a big thing'
• Asos has returned to profit, with chief executive José Antonio Ramos saying October's cyber attack was "not a big thing" for the business. • The retailer paused some marketing and customer activity after the incident, causing short-term disruption estimated at between 2% and 4% of gross merchandise value in October. • With the group generating around £200m in GMV a month, the lost sales are valued at between £4m and £8m, and Ramos said the turnaround has not been derailed.
